There are five songs here. I've worked on some of these tracks for many years now and they each mean a great deal to me. They were also written over the course of many influences.

This is my first music released after my time with The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers and you may notice some traces of gospel and roots. Those are influences I value and wanted to share.

You may or may not recognize the track “Canyon”, as it was released on the first S. Chaparral EP. It’s a song I care a lot about and I wanted to try some new things with it. The song reflects on my childhood nostalgia and why I return to it. That’s ironic considering I keep releasing this track. It’s probably redundant of me to release it again, but perhaps I’ll do it again and make it tradition.

The “A Hymn Alone” track was written during my time with the gospel singers and I wrestled with its words for a while. I hope they can wrestle with you as well. I thought it would be a cool EP title.

I've decided to release this music for free. I've heard that selling your music can give weight and value to it, but to me I find joy in people simply hearing and experiencing the music.
